Police have charged a 17-year-old boy after a filmed alleged stabbing in Victoria last week. Police confirmed on Monday that a boy, from Melbournes western suburbs, had been charged with multiple offences after a 15-year-old was stabbed in Bacchus Marsh on Wednesday.

Police confirmed on Monday that a boy, from Melbourne’s western suburbs, had been charged with multiple offences after a 15-year-old was stabbed in Bacchus Marsh on Wednesday.

The minor has been charged with intentionally causing injury, reckless conduct endangering life and using a controlled weapon without lawful excuse.

A video of the alleged assault, where the victim is chased before he was stabbed, appeared briefly on Snapchat on Wednesday before it was taken down.

The assault occurred on Bennett St at approximately 11:20am.

The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The accused is due to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
