Brie Angellina has recently released a new headstrong break-up single titled ‘That Bad‘ which is the latest track to be lifted off of her upcoming EP ‘Honeyed Words’. The release follows her last single, ‘Lullaby’.
Here we speak exclusively to the rising star about her new music, musical heroes, album plans, and much, much more;
Growing up who inspired your love of music?
When I was growing up, I would say Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera inspired my love of music. I would constantly watch them and everything they did. I would watch their music videos over and over again, have their songs on repeat and try to follow their style. I was so impressed and mesmerized by these women. I essentially wanted to be just like them. I wanted to be a singer and a performer.
Who are your all time musical heroes?
My all time musical heroes would definitely be Rihanna, Aaliyah, Lana Del Rey, Jhene Aiko, and of course Britney and Xtina.
Who would be your dream collaboration?
My dream collab would be with either Rihanna or The Weeknd.
You will be releasing your new EP soon how excited are you for the fans to hear it?
I am very excited to release my EP “Honeyed Words”! I’m so ready for people to hear my stories and be able to connect more with me through my music. It’s going to feel rewarding once I drop it because I have worked so hard on this project.
What can listeners expect from the record?
Listeners can expect some raw stories. These songs are filled with all the emotions I felt when experiencing them first hand. The songs also have a soothing melody and vibe that I think a lot of people will enjoy. They are the type of songs where you can just roll down the windows of your car on a beautiful day and just vibe out.
Your new single features Jallal what was it like working with him?
Jallal is so incredibly talented. I couldn’t believe it at first when he said he wanted to be on this track. I’m really honored that he also believes in this as much as I do.
Do you plan on releasing an album in the future?
I do plan on releasing an album in the future. Currently my EP “Honeyed Words” will be dropping very soon.
What are your long term career goals?
My long term career goals are to put out an album, collab with some talented artists, tour and live my best life.
